Amy-Marie has been a Meeting and Event planner since 1998, acquiring a diverse background in corporate meetings and events. While at Boston Scientific, she worked with both Marketing and Clinical. Her marketing events included National Sales Meetings, Medical Advisory Board Meetings and other external customer facing meetings. Her Clinical experience provided Global opportunities facilitating Investigator meetings, both domestically and internationally, in addition to planning events for the Regulatory Affairs group. These areas involved the AdvaMed Code of Conduct, requiring knowledge of the code's interaction with study coordinators and physicians.
While at Capella University, Amy-Marie worked with the non-PhD programs. She was instrumental in setting up face-to-face residency components, in addition to partnering with Academic Leads to develop new residencies for originating programs. Lastly, her work as a Senior Meeting and Event Planner at Nexstar Network gave her the opportunity to plan training and personal development-style meetings for business owners.
One could say Amy-Marie is passionate about Meetings and Events. She dedicates much of her personal time to volunteering for the Basilica of St. Mary. She has been on the Masquerey Ball Steering Committee since 2011 as Volunteer Coordinator. In addition, Amy-Marie has been involved with the Basilica Block Party since 1999, most of that time being Food and Beverage Chair.
Amy-Marie has been able to share her experience and lessons learned with others. She has taught the Meeting and Event Management Certificate class at Century College as Subject Matter Expert. In addition, she has presented to the North Metro IAAP Chapter.
In her spare time, Amy-Marie enjoys spending time with her dog (Lucy), running, working out at OrangeTheory Fitness and coming up with new cooking creations in her kitchen.
